Costly reworking of Opel ideas sent Holden on a downward spiral. With the Opel ideas and designs for the Commodore , Holden lost the best selling car in Australia position it held from the early fifties until the Commodore problems became widely known to car buyers around 1982. Just European throw away ideas about cars from Opel.
