  1. At Talladega and similar longer super speedway tracks NASCARs actually had less power with a restricter plate reducing the amount of air the engine could suck in and so reducing power. Even many years ago NASCARs were considered to be running at dangerously fast speeds. Especially after at least one high speed crash where I think a car ended up in the crowd despite the fences etc.

  2. Gday Ian. How about a Bathurst 12 hour race for these type of cars? Its on again on this Sunday from 6am to 6pm in Australia. Hope you see this comment so that you do not miss the race. A twelve hour Livestream reaction might be a bit too much to ask for. Starting coverage from 5:30 am you get to see these racing unusually in the dark and at the break of dawn. Only with the once a year 12 hour event do you get to see that. There may be some YouTube livestreams of the race in your country as there was in Australia today for Friday practice and will be for Saturday qualifying and interesting support categories before the full race on Sunday.
