  1. Those Coles mini collectables of grocery items did very well for Coles due the pester power of kids in parents when the kids wanted to collect the whole set. No product in them just solid plastic or hollow. Even the hard to get ones were bringing ridiculous sums on eBay at the peak of the craze. I expect someone has plenty of spare ones to send you. Woolworths had to rapidly come up with an alternative collectable to stop the loss of tens of millions in market share. A hit topic for finance reporters talking about share prices.

Although it was a Dutch promotion company idea Coles we're thankful they took up. I used to take them when someone behind me looked like they had kids or grandkids and give them to them. Always appreciated especially by those on limited budgets that would not get to many normally.
