  1. I think Irish diplomatic plates, so right hand drive if it came from Ireland or is intended to go back to ireland after it gets to old for Embassy use. It would be interesting to know what are the import duties etc for importing cars to the US. These taxes might be a bigger issue for more affordable cars rather that upmarket Mercedes, Ferrari and Lamborghini cars. I know personally of people who own a Skoda in Australia and remember the early sixties small numbers sold. But the most intriguing were the biggish numbers of 1950 and 1951 models that appeared on registration records and then a big gap until the sixties.

  2. Early sixties Octavia cars were sold in Australia for a few years then the rear engined ones in the seventies. Was it the 100MB or similar?
