A highly watched Australian house construction vid from 1946 : https://youtu.be/oEL3K45yWUw From an amazing time when many returned servicemen returning from the war built their own house in the post war baby and building boom. Amazing levels of determination and skills that we are unlikely to see again. Gives you an idea of how perhaps the majority of homes were for families. When purchased today they usually get knocked down for something much more elaborate given the now huge land values these bigger blocks were on. My families story pretty much.
