The Million Dollar plus Maloo was a very rare W1 LS9 one to attract that auction price. I understand bought by a company that specialises in raffling (conducting a lottery) special hard to get cars after they use them for a while. The super rare W1 supercharged LS9 Maloo on auction sold for $1,050,000 earlier on 30th January 2021. It was big news on TV and all other media in Australia at the time. The HSV build date plate of 29/12/2017 might have helped, being a few months after the other last official Holden. Rare because it was one of four or six secretive W1 Maloo utes limited by the availability of the LS9 motors they used. Seemed to all be owned by people with very close ties to HSV and not widely made known to potential buyers. So much harder to buy than the much larger run of LS9 equipped W1 sedans that were reported as being sold well over sticker price. Another W1 Maloo has been announced to be up for auction in the past few days here. The people who were allowed to buy the original cars look to be making quite a tidy profit if they achieve anywhere near the million dollar mark like the first one did. At the same auction a Holden sedan of the standard spec V8 SS sedan, but the highest VIN plate number, and so a claim to being last Holden, went for $750,000 at the same 30th January 2021 auction. Such is the local attachment to Holden before it was destroyed.

The crashed car was a locally built replica of a 1964 Cobra Daytona. Powered by a V8 Chevrolet engine. No Viper connection at all.

Power in kilowatts just add a third to get the horsepower figure.

I have only seen one Chrysler Viper on the road here. Very rare import made super expensive by taxes and conversion to right hand drive.

Just out from Shannons on the Holden Ute Story (with a few early model confusion errors) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlF_fI6g5F4 The time around Nurburgring is only bettered by high performance sedans and sports cars.

Lloyds YouTube live auction for one of these now on : https://youtu.be/d0BrfiBaK1U Like Mecum. Lloyds have the high end cars in about three or four hours. High end like Falcon XY GT HO. Others will surprise. Hope you can catch the live stream. Not sure they save it for long afterwards.

Vipers in Australia. Maybe 100 according to this local owner : https://youtu.be/_7A9csGAbXE Lots of knowledgeable people here saying none since it is so rare to see them on the road. Lots of Viper stuff on his channel like the US$35,000 conversion to right hand drive cost.

The 427 examples never got into real production. Just a few 427 Monaro coupes made for racing by drivers like Peter Brock and similar to beat Ferraris and Lamborghini etc at the Bathurst 12 hour races about ten or more years ago. Thought too expensive to get into production.
