The largest fires recorded were the fires of 6th of February 1851 when 25% of Victoria was burnt including a million sheep but much less population then so only twelve people recorded as dying. The causes and the history of this and other fire events not taught much these days. Does not fit in with the global warming ideas so ignored by current distorted narratives.

The Victoria state Census did count the indigenous population until taken over by the Commonwealth at Federation. Some areas of the Inland were not explored until the 1960s when some tribes had first contact.

Yes a misleading map because they just chose a record hot day in December 2019 which does not represent the averages that are more meaningful.

Largely uninhabited due to being desert. Difficult to supply people with reasonable cost necessities like water.

Trying to make the globe of the earth a flat map distorts the size of areas in the northern and southern extremes making people think they are larger in area than they are on the globe of the earth and reality.

Crazy to represent a cities climate by a heat map of one day as that map did.

The one day temperature map is just meaningless. Would have been much better to show long term averages of maximums an minimums by season.
