  1. For quite a few years after our K-Mart first opened in 1969, the K-Mart sold guns and ammunition for hunting. Big display ads in newspapers leading up to the start of duck season. This being peak gun time in the past. Air rifles still need to be licenced here so rarely sold. K-Mart stopped the rifle sales about 1980 is my guess. Never handguns though. Much more restricted in Australia, but my friend legally had a Magnum for a pistol range club.
