  2. We had some of the early sixties and mid seventies Skoda cars in Australia. There were also a lot of 1950 model year Skodas on register in Australia, althogh I have never seen one in the flesh.

  3. @HalNordmann  I am aware of the New Zealand made , but with Skoda running gear, from the Hubnut video : https://youtu.be/YsY9WrTHkek?si=et0SISkXlOJHUfNB However that was more modern from the sixties and found no market in Australia. The early fifties Skoda cars were fully imported from CZ. I think from a time when Australian wool was very expensive due to the Korean war demand. Possible that the Czechs back then bought wool with a car delivery instead of cash. Even the Trekka had some of that bartering going on. Harder to find information on them, but early Skodas did get mentioned and shown competing in early fifties car rally from the Australian state of Tasmania. Hard to track down that rally film.
