  1. At 19:45 , that is an Electric Frying Pan. As was noted they were very versatile with the temperature setting control on the plug in spike thing via the knob. However the two pin plug with non angled pins means it is not Australian. Australian plugs usually three pins with two angled. Sunbeam were a major Electric Frying Pan brand since they were invented at least as far back as the fifties and still going strong in Australian homes. The big point of the amber glass thing at 15:30, that puzzled you earlier , was that it was a sliding door. A widespread space saving door in Australian homes since the fifties. Maybe inspired by the sliding doors on many Australian suburban trains but then applied to homes internally. Quite a few variations on semi opaque glass but often just wooden with no glass.

  2. Ovaltine is a competitor to Milo. Slightly different taste and was promoted as a healthier drink.

  3. I had some steak sandwiches recently made with the most expensive eye fillet steak thinly sliced by the butcher. Fantastic to eat and worked out cheaper than any Hamburger chain hamburger offerings.
