  1. No GTR XU1 in 1969. Under development from the GTR and released in August 1970, the first ultra-performance Torana, the GTR XU-1, was developed by Holden along with Harry Firth of the Holden in time for Bathurst 1970. The new hot models from each of the big three were kept under wraps until just a few months before Bathurst so as not to let the opposition know what they were up against. In a way the 69 GTR Torana was a decoy before the bigger engine triple carb XU-1.

Some rare colour film of Melbourne in 1940 film the last month's of the cable trams : https://youtu.be/tuUoY0gOT_U Similar cable trams were used in both Chicago and San Francisco although a later San Francisco design is still used. Filmed in colour before they disappeared. Period radio show provides the audio but not related to the scenes.

  4. Still rare for most to see a kangaroo. Usually in the quieter parts of the countryside and some of the fringe outer suburbs. Rare in the inner parts of cities but does happen from time to time and so rare that it is put on the nightly News.
