Both no longer owned by GM. Now owned by Peugeot. But even this may be part of Stelantis. Lots of upheavals in the car industry.

They had them in the past but the dealerships had very poor parts availability and servicing. So poor sales had them withdraw from the market. Jay Leno has a few older Citroen cars he owns and likes in his vids.

Often with these cars they are just badges that way for a country from the one main factory.

Lots of cars valued in the Australian market recently posted on the Shannon's channel for an upcoming auction worth a look to see the variety of cars in Australia. But this Peter Brock championship winning Torana GTR Xu1 Holden dealer team car expected to sell for well over a million : https://youtu.be/QgkYKIBqsRc

That was a Holden badged Astra. When the prices went up too much they sold it as an Opel Astra for a while but that did not save GM in Australia. GM dominant in Australia from the thirties nearly every year until about 2005. Now very much an also ran with no vehicles in the top 100 selling vehicles.

Better to get the Opel Astra for the US being made as a left hand drive car.

@daveofyorkshire301 any left hand drive Vauxhall cars though? That is the key point. Opel sold far more in the US than Vauxhall back to the sixties at Buick Opel dealers. Maxwell Smart even drove an Opel GT at one stage.

Heaps of Japanese and Korean makes although some made in the US. Euro cars usually luxury makes like Mercedes Benz. BMW, VW and Audi. Most up market euro sports too. Mass market euro cheaper cars do not have the EU tariff and tax barriers to protect the euro smaller card from Japanese and Korean cars. Similar choice in Australia with Japanese and Korean cars being far better priced and dealer supported than Euro mass market cars.

@ChristianJull pretty hard for anyone to keep up with the vast Stellantis company: https://youtu.be/UT3T-pQRn4Q Which brands and models be saved is the question.

Looked like a very late model Holden Astra. My guess a 2017 before GM virtually got out of the Australian market.

Saturn made its own design cars in the US from 1990. However on its last legs around 2005 it started selling rebadged Opels.

One car that won't appear in races but was very successful in Australia was the unique to Australia Ford Fairlane : https://youtu.be/BRKD_Zxh-7o And : https://youtu.be/33ZBiDWCc-Q Developed from the Falcon using the station wagon long wheelbase to a completely different looking car that even many owners thought were nothing to do with the Falcon.
