  5. G'day Ian. The Supercar scare origins given in this : https://youtu.be/xc4BklbauwA Lots of comments imagining or badly recalling other explanations. The Ford is one example of the cars that were stopped but a much higher performance Torana and Valiant were also stopped. Even less known was a proposed 351:V8 Cortina answer to the Torana V8 was also stopped very early on. The only reason of concern then was road safety impacts. The emissions and fuel resource aspects came later.

  6. The US did have sedan delivery cars at least as early as the fifties. Two door station wagons without glass and rear seats. For commercial work like our panel vans were until about the seventies boom.
