It's the reason why Japan attacked Pearl Harbor to begin with, sanctions became an existential threat because Japan couldn't care for it's people, so they declared War in response. Similar tactic used in Korea. When the Korea's were split the US pumped massive money and economic stimulus into South Korea and sanctioned the North. The result is a Wealthy South Korea, while the North suffers famine and economic turmoil. This results in North Korea having to choose between Defense or feeding everyone. In response, they funded defense and crush dissent, which easily allows the War Mongers to point fingers and toss talking points like, "Look at how he starves his people, and wastes money on a large violent military!", text book. Create the problem, sell the cure. Now Venezuala is just many in a long line of overthrows and coups.

This is a more factual definition of Russiagate, because it still includes Russia as a potential foreign agent, but actually working in collusion with what was Hillary's complete control over the DNC in 2016 in order to ensure her a Political Victory with Bernie Sanders being taken out of the picture due to direct interference in our Democratic Institutions. The problem is everyone else uses an opinion when talking about Russiagate. They'd be wise to start stating only the proven facts.
