  1. Chris S You're right about the last part, but don't forget that Religion is used as a form of control to the masses, since the beginning of religion. The Mesopotamian's did not have religion, someone created it, mankind did that. Also don't forget that it was also used in politics back in those ages. You look at history and see where that went. It was almost as bloody as other religious extremists are making it today.

  2. +IronicallyVague There's no crime in changing religions temporarily to save your own ass. Just because a book tell you to warship something or live in hell for eternity, is quite the same thing as "forcing" someone to convert really, the only difference is trying to scare them into converting. The Islamic State is doing it Mentally first, then Physically.  Maybe the main problem with the world is religions as a whole. They've all had dark pasts. Thus i think it's time to let them go, and forge a new one, based on proper morals, education, and common sense, not about some almighty being.

  3. Chris S Pretty much the way i live. I believe in a great being, however, i look at things the way they are, i carry myself with human compassion, and use common sense and morals to run my life, not a book. It's absolutely heart breaking to see these people just lined up and slaughtered by some evil people. The worst part about it, is there's no one helping them. While the Islamic state is hunting the innocent, very few are hunting them.
