The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), was in the middle of peace talks with the remaining rebels in the last surrounded pocket of Douma... so tell me, why would the SAA stretegically use chemical weapons while negotiating their opponents surrender, which would also pose a threat to their own troops, as well as bring Intrrnational reaction? They already won the war so ill ask again, why would they use chemical weapons to invite a foreign attack? They wouldn't. They're not stupid. But here is who did benefit. Before Douma, there was Ghouta and another region. As soon as the SAA was going to capture these regions the US started screaming at how the SAA was murdering civilians, the same lies they used in Allepo, while at the same time the US rushed the capture of Raqqa with total disregard for civilians because they were trying to beat the SAA to the oil fields south east of the river. But yet, only the US starts causing havoc when the SAA get closer to liberating their country back. The reality is the Strike was a political middle finger because the US hates losing, so its acting out in retaliation, while using propaganda to make people believe the Chemical attack was done by the SAA, when its stretegically impossible for them to do so.
