I'm not making excuses, i'm stating a fact. Guess what, when the good role models lose power, guess who is there to take it. Those who go through hard lives, with only violence as their asset. These rappers and what not display their violence as power through their music, and young kids follow, because they think it's a form of protection, when it's the exact opposite. Once they're in under the arms of these gangsters, it's hard for them to leave, as it's intense peer pressure, and a violent lock. Some fear leaving means death, or loss of protection, in most cases, that is high possibility. The thing you don't understand though, is that most of those kids are not "gangsters", and are out to get adrenaline. To rally with everyone else, because "everyone" is doing it. They're young and foolish, and probably have homework to do. Now to say they are violent, it's not always the case. But when the ones who hold the power convey violence as the answer, this is what you get. It''s like me calling all German's Nazi's, and if that were the case, than Germany wouldn't exist, they wouldn't have given up the way they did. But it's very similar, in the fact that a ton of young kids feel that being "gangster" is the only way to become strong, powerful, be a man. This is what happens when there is no real positive role model anymore. Obama, don't get me started. I'll wait till he's out of office and the facts come out till i tell you how much he's actually done, but that's a different story of 8 years facing total friction from the opposing party. Anyhow, these kids don't know what they're rioting for. Of course you can argue that all black are violent. But it's not the case. Before King died, there was no violence from African Americans at all. Before they were brought to build America, they weren't violent either. What your seeing is direct cause of those that put African Americans in a bad spot, and now with the only positive idol's gone, they have no one else to fall back on for a good example, and that is the problem plaguing a massive generation.
