Hello!
I wonder what the meaning behind these rock at 3:12 . I've seen many of these during the path of the Kumano Kodo but i never get the story behing these ones. It is something religious related?
They seem to have a lot of people sometime during the video but beside that, the place seem really cool. These moutains, the sound of the river, it seem cozy.
When i think about it, they really are a lot of people, what i liked about some rural place, it's also the fact that they aren't many people, like i wanted to find calm amoung nature.
i also liked the additionnal information about the area, like the fact that they are onsen nearby or how to acces to the place. I nearly miss ONE place i visited in Japan this year because i didn't check precisely how to get there. Like i wanted to go to Ikeshima, a nearly abandonned island in Nagasaki prefecture. I failed to take the right bus, Nagasaki has two bus N°10, i take the wrong one! But fortunatly, i could take the next one 3 hours after and go to the island, i didn't miss the journey!

Interesting video, i can't recommand Kyushu more, went here this year it's clearly an hidden gem. (shoutout to Nagasaki and Beppu the onsen capital)
For Kumando Kodo, it was one of the most amazing experience of my life. It was peaceful, beautiful and they are many stuff to see along the way, like a river where you can build your own onsen with showel, the biggest torii, the longest japanese waterfall near a famous temple and also the oldest onsen. Also it's a hikking trail, so expect to meet friendly hikker along the way and i can't recommand enough to stay at minshuku along the way. It's a amazing way to meet local and sleep into traditional house. I could go on and on about this place.
For the spot i didn't know yet, izu peninsula is on the top spot of my list if i went near tokyo/fujisan. I hope to do some hikking here if possible.
Anyways, thanks for the video : )

I don't know much about Shikoku except the Setonaikai national park who interest me the most. The idea of biking for two or three day here is highly appealing to me, and they say that the view is amazing, with multiple islands connected by bridge.
Personnaly my goal in life is to visit each 8 regions of Japan and to spend at least a week in each regions. I've already do Kansai/Kanto/Kyushu and a bit around hiroshima, so i imagine i can do one trip from Tokyo to Sapporo passing by the Tohoku. They are many area along the way that i wanna visit, like Nikko, Aomori (and his famous cider), Matsushima bay (i've seen the 2 other view from 日本三景 ) to name a few. Another option would be to visit from Kansai airport to Shikoku and a bit of Chugoku but here, i've way less stuff i'm eager to see.
So i'm curious to see what you will show from Shikoku, i except a bit of countryside, preferably available from bus/train or boat, i don't have a driver license ^^. I'm also curious to discover what meals we can eat here or what hikking path could exist (i've done the kumano kodo this year, it was amazing! ) but you do you : )

Ekiben is overrated yeah.
Queuing is sometime overated, i've learn that the hard way. We waited 1hours and a half for a yaki curry ( 焼きカレー ) at mojiko, and it was overrated! As a french, i didn't know what i was expected, each time i've tried cheese in Japan, it's "okay" at best, "not good" at worste. Maybe i should tried something at a cheese factory (some have store i bet ) but even here, i don't think it will be good enough. My french cheese standard are so high unfortunatly.
Tokyo tower was overrated indeed! Some people sell me to see this because it was inspired by the eiffel tower. I'm sorry but the eiffel tower is far superior, most because the tower is higher than any building around her, unlike the tokyo tower. Also the place around the eiffel tower is designed to put the tower in perspective, unlike the area around tokyo tower who aren't particulary magnificent. Not bad but not amazing like the view around the eiffel tower.
PS: The cool thing about the Ginkakuji in my opinion, is the philosopher path to go here. Yeah it's a bit touristy (way less than the Ginkakuji itself and wayyyyy less than the kinkaku-ji ) but it's nice and allow you to experience Kyoto from a nice path.
