  2. Hebrews would use Hebrew. And lift Greek mythological creatures when writing the book of Isaiah. Such as satyrs (Isaiah 13:21; 34:14), and flying serpents (Isaiah 14:29). I've always found the link between those verses and what Herodotus wrote fascinating.
