Comments by "ANDROLOMA" (@ANDROLOMA) on "Manichaeism: The Silk Road Religion" video.
In Voltaire's novel Candide, the philosopher Martin is called the world's last Manichaeist. Manichaeism can be considered a religion as extinct as Tyrannosaur worship.

Faith as a substitute for logic is the soap in every brainwashing scheme humanity devises.

@lucifermephistophilies6629 Surely the real Lucifer uses better, more coherent English than this?

@theomnisthour6400 Pragmatists, rather. And you can expound endlessly about the impressions reality gives you, yet the concept remains that if karma was indeed real, that would imply that the universe has a consciousness, instead of being as mindless as most human theological constructs. Karma would also imply that good is rewarded and evil punished, which is contrary to the history of reality.

@theomnisthour6400 That's a quaint conceit, to claim to know the secrets of the universe. Do you have any other egocentric delusions of grandeur to share with the class? Time/cubes, and stuff?

Academia has evolved beyond the obsolete AD and BC designations. You should try evolving too. Because God's chosen people the Jews considered such Christian designations prejudiced. The worst thing about Christians is that they believe that the Jews are God's chosen people, while the Jews don't believe that God's son is true. Theologically sanctioned institutional racial superiority. In retrospect, the BC/AD division was itself crap. Even dating time by BCE (Before Common Era) and CE (Common Era) is flawed. The entire issue demonstrates how incredibly primitive the human species has been for nearly its entire history.

How many wars and atrocities have been committed in the holy name of Jesus by believers who didn't have enough sense to turn the other cheek?

@frankbaz6449 To read Voltaire is to love Voltaire. One of my very favorite writers.

Christophobic is a similar misnomer to homophobia. If phobia is a fear, who is scared of either Christ or homosexuals? If we can dual purpose the word "phobia" as an aversion, then I would call myself Christophobic and homophobic. To all the sanctimonious nattering nabobs of negativity who act as if they are scienceophobic and heterophobic. BC/AD is not better. Because Jewish scholars considered such designations of history as Christian. Blame God's chosen people for rejecting such obsolete designations. The best course would be to just divest such futile religious designations entirely with secular appellations as BCE/CE.

Crucifiction. Sounds more accurate than crucifact.

A Google search of the word "Xradesahr" indicates you don't know what you're talking about. Are you making this up as you go along? https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/brill/manichaeism-in-the-early-sasanian-empire-kNt1vXjaHr

Karma has yet to be scientifically confirmed. Or confirmed as any sort of reality. If karma was real, bums would ride stallions in Central Park.

@theomnisthour6400 No attack, just indifferent observation. Get over your pride. You're capable of better things.

@Josh Smith Please understand that I consider you neither my boss, my owner, nor this discussion moderator; and forgive me if I defy your orders with a firmly raised middle finger.

But no hobbits. Except bad hobbits, like smoking or drinking.

Why have the C if you don't pronounce it? Obsolete word. Like knife, which doesn't need the K.

@DM5550Z Must have been in a lull during the 18th century.

How do you know how the ancients pronounced anything? Were you there?
