  14. Professor Ehrman was a firm believer at first, and wanted to do more analysis. The more he learned, the less he learned to believe. Professor Ehrman may be one of the last honest people left on Earth. I've bought several of his books. Money well spent.

  15. Did William Shakespeare participate in the translation which became the King James Bible? A piece of evidence in favor of that assertion has to do with suspected cryptography in Psalms 46. Counting 46 words in from the psalm is the word "shakes." Counting 46 words from the end of the psalm, not counting the word "selah," is the word "spear." Shakespeare's 46th birthday was during the span of time the translation was being written. I've not read any more investigation into this phenomenon since I first encountered it.

One fundamental anomaly fundamentalists never address is the irrefutable fact that if the King James Bible is infallible and inerrant, then that god Jehovah who dictated it delayed printing it until 400 years ago, allowing a full 5600 years of human history to pass unmanaged. If Earth was a kitchen appliance, a users manual written by a competent authority would be preferable.

Deuteronomy 24:16 In order to make logical sense for the premise of Christianity, one has to imagine that YHWH issued this edict, then revoked it just so the death of Jesus could be explained. That makes no logical sense. Why would YHWH birth a son to defy his own prior law? He wouldn't. Unless such a god wasn't prescient.
