Any religion that relies on an ultimatum of "obey or be punished" is itself inherently flawed. Obedience for a good cause won't be forced, but rather embraced by those persuasion seeks to convert.

@GoatlikePersonality I survived five years of evangelical harassment because my parents thought it wise to force me to accept fundamental Baptist Christianity 50 years ago. Half a century later, and I'm still bitter. At least my mother apologized to me for that before she died. I learned to never trust anyone's religion that attempted to tell me how to think. A true religion wouldn't have abused me so bad for so long.

For God so hated humanity, that he gave humanity no one, so that whosoever believeth in him will still perish, and never have everlasting life. There is so much inherently wrong with that overused sentence which contains more false information than the worst lies humans contrive.

@FLIK510 Glum visions of ruin and despair are typical apocalyptic fantasies of religious zealots who engage their chronic pessimism into criticism for their select political foes. Without ever once noticing the glaring fact that 99% of this country conducts business on a daily basis and never noticing the imminent doomsday Chicken Littles keep reminding us is soon to befall us all because the nation did things wrong you don't personally approve of. Those are the types of negative assessments that distinguish children using psychological tactics, not adults seeking solutions to problems. Opinions are like climaxes. Mine is more important, and I really don't care if you have one.
