  16. Unless you heard Jesus say it at that specific time, you're taking someone else's word for it that he really did say that. The courts call it "hearsay evidence" and because of the method's unreliability, is considered inadmissible.

My complex English can weave circles around any intricately beautiful and well evolved language you can produce, because its complexity is what makes it infinitely descriptive. It would seem that the invaders and colonizers essentially conquered the world with civilization, and taught their lingo to the uneducated barbarians they encountered in an act of generous charity. You should be grateful instead of critical.

Cicero asked that 2000 years ago. 2500 years ago Xenophanes speculated that if donkeys were religious their gods would look like donkeys, not humans. And Euripides wrote that "If a god does wrong, he is no god; if he desires anything, he can be no god, since God is perfect and complete."
