I needed the Bateman coefficients for the radon decay chain calculation and had to revert to an old textbook (1970s) to find them. Modern science textbooks seem to gloss over some of the really useful stuff as they have to appeal to the larger market of students rather than the limited market of experts working in the field. I'm not in the least surprised they had this book there!

Tan pi/4 = 1, can this be used instead of pi/6?

You won't get far in chemistry, physics, biology, botany, microbiology or geology without a laboratory or fieldtrips! You go to university to learn as much from others, lecturers, colleagues, as from books.
