I gain the impression that one bad aspect concerning fast food is that very often parents raising their children use fast food as a "reward" for bring good. This builds a association of fast food is good and deserved for good times. It is a expensive way to avoid proper rewarding, and teaching that fast food deserves to be a lazy, time saving way to eat, avoiding cooking or spending time sitting having a proper healthy meal. In my case a McDonalds meal, KFC or Pizza are only used as quick meal to avoid time spent preparing a meal. A McDonalds meal as part of several hours grocery shopping, on two to three week intervals. Having spent hours running around, it is a means to use less time as still all the unpacking and stowing is to be done at home. Then to still spend kitchen time is not desired, so a quick substitute, otherwise only as a quick meal on long road trip, but there prefer a good steak sandwich, or classical burger, with salad, beetroot, onions , or good serving of battered fish and chips (French fries).
