When they mention some towns do not allow alcohol in the boot at all, effectively alcohol is restricted within the town, it is, to my understanding only in places where the Aboriginal population is restricted in access to alcohol, due to severe drunkenness drunken violence and property damage issues. Mostly requested measures by the Aboriginal Elders wishes. Alcohol and petrol sniffing has become a najor problem in Aboriginal communities. I do not know of any major cities with such restrictions, though police do act if finding open alcoholic beverages in a vehicle being pulled over. A box of or collection of closed cans/bottles especially in the boot (trunk) of the vehicle, not accessible to driver and passengers would not be queried. Conditional on of course usual DUI checks no odour of alcohol or evident impaired state of driver, where presence of quantity of alcoholic beverages would of course become an issue.

Queen has actual birthday one day before my mother on 22nd April, so 21 St, though maybe also 22nd. In Victoria, as most states the second Monday of June is a public holiday which happens to fall on my birthday every few years.

DOGGING... In UK it is participating/organising DOG FIGHTS. Now I am no expert in this but as I understand it, someone may correct or extend the folowing. In Australia, the person coordinating crane lifting work, or even riding the load is called the "Dogman" signalling and whistle sounding during such work. Thus DOGGING is a job type in building/construction job managing the lifting job, ensuring safety and directing the operator when and how far/fast the lift is being done.

Unusual working hours, night shift and public holidays, Saturday or Sunday work carry loadings. Typical weekend Sat 50% and Sun/Pub Hol 100%. Overtime and night shifts also vary but again 50% is not unusual, though overtime may apply sometimes to extra long hours over, initial couple of hours could be at normal rates. Also on call or special call in to work will have loading. The best compared with many places around the world is that holiday pay is normally 17.5% loaded, not just normal paid time rates. That often does not apply if you are on annual agreed contract, but most likely you have a "bonus" as part of the contract, which contract also may have some minimum hours of 'unpaid' overtime allowed for, but usually there are other work hours flexibility included..
