Large jelly fish to over a meter are not uncommon, but it is quite scarry to be swimming, and suddenly be in the middle of hundreds of them 1m to 2m diameter. Not sure in the instant how harmful getting stung would be. Avoided most but did brush one arm and both legs against the stubby tentacles. Fortunately only mild pain like accidentally washing over the skin with a bit too hot water. Swelling went down within a couple of hours. Did take over 10 min careful swimming to get out of the huge cluster, drifting along the beach and surf in a tidal flow. Have seen far more fierce looking huge jellyfish while sail boating, glad to not be in the water, dozen or more tentacles over 3m long.

Should exoerience a Tasmanian Devil growling in the dark while out in the forest camping, you imagine a huge monster about to attack. TERROR STRIKES! The thorny devil lizard does look unusual and its water wicking skin is special. But also one of its defense actions, squirt blood from corners of it eyes at a potential attacker.

There are many pink lakes around Australia, all high salinity. Would you like a swim, well if you like itching all over later, the likelyhood of skin reaction to the pink bacteria is high and such itch can be common on many high salinity lakes pink or not. So caution advised before trying a swim, though can be fun due to high floatation effect, very hard to sink in that water.

Vegemite as a drink would be similar to a strong beef broth
