  1. A totally sand island with the many lakes all located well above sea level perched in sand effectively on top of accumulated sand dunes. Base of lakes sealed from water seeping away by accumulated dead leaves of vegetation. The island even has forests formed on the sand base. Sadly a large part was seriously burned and damaged in recent years. Has kage population of Dingoes. A very popular place for 4WD touring and ocean beach fishing.
