Note running empty they lift numerous wheels off the road, reducing drag and improving tyre wear on the lifted wheels. Also lower road wear.

FINLAND is pushing "Europe" definition somewhat. Finland is rather sparse, forested, Arctic area closer to the pole than northern Canada and northern Alaska and far from what is better seen as Europe. Far from normal European roads and trucking, only a single major highway link, with special 'trial' evaluation, from far north forestry to wood/paper processing in more populated southern Finland. While tonnage in logs is high, the length is still far under Australisn road trains, given those four shorter log trailers are barely length of two full length road train trailers which run from three to five such long trailers. I would not be surprised that Finland has chosen to evaluate such longer 'road train like' transporters based on success of road trains in remote areas of Australia, given the likewise remote well isolated lfrom major other traffic of transport needs they have.

@EnjoyFirefighting Never ever said it is NOT Part of Europe so you very much exaggerate. I was commenting on that Europe is not running ROAD TRAIN SIZE TRUCKS at all. This video is like many using exaggerated headlines implying EUROPE has adopted long Road Train trucks. An appropriate heading could have stated Finland or even Scandinavian country is using ... Even then it is very restricted, experimental, use on one specific route of one particular "Logs" transport needs. Not even general goods transport, or even yet decided as permanent method.

@EnjoyFirefighting Clearly you have more local knowledge. You are welcome to make corrections...... You mention Swden as similar to Finland, using a bit longer trucks. Can you e lighten which other European countries have Road Train sized general goods transport activities? Ideally not sparse population regions of Scandenavia. Say south of Denmark.

@shaggings Thank you, much as as I expected, and I expect/assume only in log transport
