Even in those cities, Melbourne, Sydney and even Brisbane, there are plenty of good suburbs with great offers under that $1M. Choosec Adelaide or Perth the money goes further. Go country areas and larger country towns you do very well though recent moves from cities out ofvbig town is msking popular country towns ever more expensive as destination, and quite large acreage properties can be obtained with house and numerous other buildings existing if not directly in major country towns, yet still not too far from major town access. You want tourist hot spots it will cost but just want access to ocean beach or other water be it river or lakes or nice bushland (forest) you could still get very large place for such money.
