  1. US seems appropriate as the general attitude of majority and their education divides its citizens from the rest as " US vs Them". Calling themselves "Americans" is very much over presumptuous, as they are FAR less than all America continent. And yes, North and South are one continent as all is one joined land mass, unless you think the man made canal relatively narrow water stretch justifies separating the whole into two contents. That canal division from memory has some significant input by the US. As far as the very over presumptuous "United States of America" , well given the number of other places in both Northerly and Southerly segments that are excluded in the "of AMERICA" is hardly a UNITED entity of States. It is a gross insult to the majority of people of the continent of AMERICA. 😝😁🤣
