  1. I keep a container of water in my backyard for birds to drink from in hot weather. I regularly have bees sipping water at the edges of that water container when temperatures rise over 40°C. And regularly have to use a grass stalk to rescue a bee that fell into the water, before it drowns with wings wet it has little hope otherwise. As a toddler zi already learned by several instances bees tend to sting if you try to save them with your bare finger, not realising you only want to help.....
