  1. Yes winter approaches. Had first snowfall above 1200m just before Mother's Day at 6th to 7th May. In Victoria, not sure about NSW probably too as it was cold centred air east of Tasmania that brought ir. Normally mid June is official start of ski season, but possibly this year might even come by end May. But there are prior times that weather reversal changed similar clearly conditions to delay to start July. Must wait to see.
