No doubt at all, without absolute athletic stamina or the extreme physical endurance of any long distance marathoner the drivers are going through a hell of physical and concentration demands few people can endure. Even given two drivers roughly share equal parts of the 1000km, or less for slower cars. As far as cars go, while engunes and transmission are put to extreme test, the race is won more on brakes and tyres, than pure power. All kinds of details may be less than 110% right but the brakes and tyres must never let a team down or they do not finish that race.
