Another great summary of the 'wrong' view of some US people of their place in the world scheme of things. So true that education is failing the people of the USA. Personally have experienced several instances of lack of world knowledge and over self centric nature. My personal peev is with the number of instances, especially sports related of the title "WORLD CHAMPSIONSHIP..." or similar applied to titles of what is basically only local US city and state teams competing. No other countries or foreign competing teams involved. OK I agree more and more of some teams have players of foreign origin involvement, but still there are no foreign based teams involved, even where that sport has presence in foreign countries. If not involving at least teams from foreign countries and/or continents, there is NO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP involved. Apparently from news I read the current Super Bowl had two Australian players in the event. Is it true that they can not find enough top grade US players? It is certainly good that other nations can provide better players than local talent available for US variants of sports.
