  1. That one is famous, but there there are many crossings of that type around the northern tracks and trails. It is definitely know what you are doing, or DO NOT PROCEED. Locals take many risks, being experienced but mainly novices get into real trouble. By the way most like th his one are well off the main tourist routes, most even in Aboriginal regions that require special permits to enter, if not of Aboriginal heritage. Wet season, not at all passable for months at times. Otherwise basically only at low tide, and being patient for lowest level water is essential. Seen people too eager get into trouble preventing more patient people to miss possible low tide access due to stuck vehicles blocking the crossing. Cahill at least is concreted base, most are just the sandy/rocky river base adding to the risk factor.
