  1. Sixth form normally refers to 6th year secondary school, primary school years are called grade 1 to 6.after the secondary 1 to 6 "form" years start tertiary college and university. Back in 1960s that 6th Form year was also called "matriculation " year, seems out of fashion since then, 1969 my 6th Form was last one in Victoria Australia referred to officially as Matriculation.
