  1. Depends also on whether they quote any standard like IP, and whether it actually conforms to the standard. If a standard is stated and a produbct does NOT meet the criteria of that standard they are liable for false claims. The fine under European legal standards can only apply if proven that claimed performance is not met, for the warrantee time.
