@thinkingagain5966 The USA left when it became obvious that the Afghans didn't want to fight for their freedom and dignity and modern life. Would have been dumb staying any further in Afghanistan when all the objectives have been attained.

@davisworth5114 Stop whining. That's if you are really American which I doubt. I find whining repulsive. We had and have several generations of military people in our family in the French army. Never ever heard any of them whine, not even for once. In France we are also fighting so wokism doesn't conquer us.

Igor, we are talking about russia here. Taking less adulterated vodka would have made you realise that this happened inside russia (not in Ukraine occupied territory) and the ''heros'' are not Ukrainians. Also, they were training to help russia NOT help their own country. No comparison at all. Are you able to understand that?

@10s-d7j I'm French. We don't do that for French military men and women. That could also explain why ex French military men and women don't whine for having done their duty years ago. It's paradoxical. The more you thank and praise a group of people the more they whine.

The USA shut off flights from china and passengers who had been to china 14 days prior to coming to the USA BEFORE russia did. Too much adulterated vodka is causing memory loss to some of you russian trolls or you are as usual being russian that's disingenuous.

@infocrypt You can have the best of equipments, if it's not in large or at least enough quantity you are done. Ukraine does not have nearly enough. And no, Ukraine doesn't have the best the West can offer. On Iraq , if you are old enough, you would have known that Saddam's iraq was among the top 5 military powers in the world back then. Way way way more powerful than Ukraine is today even with the little amount of western equipments at its disposal.

@infocrypt NATO is not fighting Russia yet. BTW, russian propaganda claimed russia could take on and defeat NATO. So what is the problem with the very little military equipments given to little Ukraine? You wanted Ukraine to fight russia with bare hands?

@infocrypt Seriously, how old are you? Not only did Saddam's iraq had the best weapons the Soviet union did have, it had them massively. Plus 800000 overtrained battled tested standing army. They had fought Iran an intensive war that lasted several years. Ask those older than you and "live" those wars DAILY and in details.

@jtruth5617 All through the Vietnam war, the USA never lost a single battle. The USA left the Vietnam war because of the massive nation-wide violent protests in that country. Notice too that the Vietnam war continued for 2 full years after the USA left.
