  1. Russians could not defeat the Talibans some years back. And no, the US defeated the Talibans 20 years ago and kicked them out of power. It was the civilian govt of Afganistan that lost the war to the Talibans recently.

  9.  @jamesjackovich5886  Russians love to compare themselves with Americans. This is a deep russian obsession. It's a pavlovian reaction. They could go on it for every day, 365 days a year, year in year out. Guess it makes them feel important. It seems the world outside russia starts and ends with the USA or precisely with Americans. Even their president Putin craves for American attention. Comrade, for once compare yourselves with people at your level such as the Turkish, the Tajikistanis, Indians, Armenians, Jordanians, Algerians, Indonesians etc...? Knowing that the Polish or the Finnish or South Koreans, the chinese etc... and most East europeans have a higher standard of living than russians and better economies too.
