@Lesedi26 Igor, this is not about being puppet. South Africa willingly joined the ICC, it should leave if it does not respect the rules of an organization it willingly and independently joined. South Africa was encouraging other nations to join the ICC. It was very proud of its membership and criticized countries that were not members. It will tragic if it spits on its values and on an organization that mightily helped it during the apartheid period all because of someone like Putin.

The USA is not the world. The USA is not the center of the world. Get over your USA-centrism, Igor.

@reggiesmith3866 South Africa is a willing member of the ICC. It independently joined the organization. It urges other countries to join. It criticizes countries that are not members. Imagine it turns around and help destroy that organization all for someone like Putin. Of what use will the continued membership of south African be in that organization ? Seriously. If no member can arrest an indicted person by the ICC what's the use of the continued existence of ICC ? If SA doesn't arrest Putin if he comes in that country, SA will never ever have the moral authority to arrest anyone else indicted by the ICC ever again. In that case, why remain a member? Furthermore, if SA lets Putin in and out of the country, will SA ever expect any other member country to ever arrest anyone else indicted by the ICC even if that person committed the worst crimes in SA or in any other African or 3rd world country?

Then south Africa should leave the ICC

@Jouantiese If they don't arrest Putin, they should leave the ICC. Staying will be meaningless and making a joke of that institution and it will also be hypocritical of south Africa.

@billrobinson5110 South Africa does.

@Lesedi26 Wow. Igor, you seem obsessed with that country, the USA. Is it the Lord of the world? Furthermore, what the ICC is accusing Putin is not an ordinary war crime between soldiers. It's the deliberate abduction of children in the invaded country and their subsequent forced deportation and adoption in the country of the invading power. Did that happen in Irak and in Lybia ? BTW, I'm French so spare me your ridiculous obsession with the USA.
1
@Lesedi26 No. War crimes have to documented and proved and above all committed deliberately. No such things happened in Irak or Lybia. BTW, why was Pik Botha not juged? Why was stalin allowed to rule the Soviet union till his death rather than depose and judge him?
