@buck-johnson Almost everything you said is right. Just a point of correction, Lybia was a France and Britain's war NOT Germany. And you are right, the USA was dragged and I mean FORCED by Sarkozy and some 2 penny intellectual here called BHL (Bernard-HenrI Levy) to get involved in that war.

@GradezoneProdz You sound reasonable. And all you said is right,. Just a point though, at the beginning of US involvement in Afghanistan, only one nation was with the USA, that was Britain. Many nations in Europe including France and Germany PROFERED their help and the USA REFUSED. It was AFTER the real war conducted solely by the US and Britain that ousted the Taliban that the USA finally accepted other NATO's members help to ESSENTIALLY maintain the peace in Afghanistan. More like a policing work but with soldiers. BTW, lots of European country especially France my country were kind of offended by the US refusal to get them involved right from the word go and in the ACTUAL war that kicked the Taliban out. Can't tell how the Germans felt.
