  1. Western media love to ask and often get hysterical wondering or speculating in advance how dictatorial regimes will react to any given action especially if taken by a western democratic country. In so doing, these western media kind of pressure the dictatorial government to react and often react badly. Or maybe that's precisely what these western media are seeking...because that will be more news. The monster that is the western media need to be fed non-stop. I remember when the daughter of Huawei founder was detained in Canada, western media especially Canadian media were hysterical speculating about a possible reactions.... this went on and on and on. All these while China never reacted but words and condemnation only. But the western especially Canadian media were not satisfied. They making programs after programs. Articles after articles until China took more severe actions against Canada and also imprisoned Canadian nationals in China and condemned one of them to death for allegedly dealing on drugs. After some more noises, the canadian media calmed down. It's a a drug addict who received enough of his doze. Never once do western media realize they must have pushed some dictatorial countries to act more severely against western countries. The impression these countries get is that they have to react. This has happened with Russia too. Why not wait for China to react first before speculating and pushing them to the wall to react ?
