@jameskillu9171 It's always easy to underestimate a democracy. It's always easy to overestimate s totalitarian country. I'm old enough to know that nobody knew the Soviet Union will lose the cold war or that it had so much internal problems and rots. The media and the general perception multiplied the capacity of the soviet union by 10X compared to what it was in reality. At the same time, the media and general perception belittled the USA. We saw the result.

It's sad that France has abandoned Taiwan before the 1st shot. Be an ally of France at your own risk and peril.

LoopWoof I have always wondered why people in totalitarian countries feel that if a foreign head of state visits their country he is coming to beg. Normal mutually beneficial visit doesn't seem to mean anything to them. BTW, Germany is the richest country in Europe. One of 5 richest countries on earth. It also has a higher standard of living than the Chinese. So it can't be a colony. Tens of thousands of Chinese even today take heavy risks and pay fortunes to emigrate to Germany. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese do petty and menial hard jobs in Germany. So it can't be a colony. People from nations who have no real allies cannot understand the special relationship between the USA and Germany. It's beyond you since China's only real ally is Kim Jong Un's North Korea. Lol.

Most nations of Europe are behind Germany

Europe sold Crimea to Russia. Europe sold 2 provinces of Georgia to Russia. Europe sold the Donbas to Russia. If the USA is out of Europe, bye bye to Baltic states, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Georgia Armenia etc.
