  2. We could not even fight in Mali without USA's massive military help. Yes Macron's stand is an ego thing. And it happens anytime France is humiliated by other powers. We used the USA to rub our ego and soothe our emotional pains.

  5.  @ShangZilla  First to send weapons were the British and the Americans (4 months before the war started). The 1st French weapons were 3 months after the war had started. And it was more out of embarrassment because stats showed that Australia, Canada etc non European countries were helping Ukraine militarily than big mouth France. I'm French btw.

  8. I'm French. Macron is not even speaking for France given the reactions here. I wanted to say he is speaking for himself and his remaining 4 years mandate but given all the time he has changed his mind, I will say he's not speaking even for himself. It's his puny ego dancing around. Lest I forget: Macron called Biden before going to meet Xi Jinping in China.

  12.  @michaelkrzak5414  Yes. We failed totally and woefully. We gave regions of Georgia to and Crimea and Donbas to Russia almost with no fight. Just to tranquille and keep enjoying life while others lose their country. We also prevented Ukraine and Georgia from entering NATO just to appease Putin and the Russians. We now have the results.

  14. Did the USA say the conflict in Ukraine or Taiwan is not its concern? BTW, France is still not spending up to 2% of its GDP on defense. Mouthing doesn't make one strong militarily. We tried that before WW2.

  17. Julio Nebarres that sounds like Guatemalan name. Fyi: The USA lost about 1 million of its citizens defending Europe in ww1 and 2. The USA spent trillions helping Europe rebuild after WW2. The USA spent trillions defending Europe during the cold war. Oh I forgot the best part, contrary to popular belief, very few French fought for the USA during their war of independence. Lafayette's army were made of other Europeans mainly; Belgians, Dutch, germans, Italians, Spanish etc.
