@georgerobert4709 Germany is SUPER-RICH today because for 77 years it economised on her military spending and invested those economised money in her own economy, infrastructure, industries, financed, social security etc...And I'm not even counting the Marshall Plan and the free access of german products to the US market post-ww2. Without the US, Germany would have been like...EAST GERMANY. No more no less

About time. Germans have NEVER fought or defended freedom in their entire history. Neither their own freedom nor that of any other people. One month after promising to send tanks to Ukraine, that's 3 months into this tragic war and 6 months after the British started sending weapons to Ukraine as the sounds of Putin's war drums started blasting Europe's tranquility, those germans tanks have still not arrived in Ukraine. TERRIBLE!

Paternalist attitude. It's the Ukrainians that are being massacred right now NOT the overfed and over-protected germans. And the germans have NOT and are not doing much to help the martyred Ukrainians militarily.

@HingerlAlois Lol. Even the German government admits it has never been strong militarily since the end of WW2. Sir, all the things you listed above are chicken s..t. Lots of poorer 3rd world countries have way more and way better. When like my country France, Germany will spend trillions of Euros as we have done since 1945 building jet fighters from A to Zee, building a complete and sophisticated nuclear deterrence system, cutting edge war ships, nuclear submarines, nuclear powered aircraft carriers etc...then we can talk. I repeat, Germany has been free loading on the naive Americans since 1945. And she has grown super super rich because of that. Real and objective level headed Germans know that.

@HingerlAlois Some of your assertions border on pure idiocy especially on the need of submarines and aircraft carrier. Nonetheless, my comment was to show how much France has spent on defense while Germany never spent 1/10th of what we spent in the last 7 decades on defense. So Germany should be humble when it thinks it is richer or smarter than France as Germans in general do.
