  2.  @nonvalid962 : Before the French revolution, there were democracies in Britain and in the USA. I'm French and I can tell you that. In our history books, we learn that it was actually the American revolution that re-enforced the french revolution and led it in the direction it went. ''The informed french masses said ''Look at that young nation accross the Atlantic. It's a democratic republic. It has freedom and democracy. We MUST have the same too here in France.''. Also, the opening lines of the text proclaiming the French revolution looks very similar to that of the US more than a decade earlier. On the other hand, russia has never known freedom and democracy since it's 800 years of existence till today. And it is not like to know these concepts anytime soon as Putin is planning on staying in power by force and sheer terror till 2036. Already, he got the rubber stamp russian parliament to pass a law according him and his entire family TOTAL IMMUNITY FOR LIFE for all the crimes committed before, during and eventually after his presidency. Shocking and sad.

  7. This law was actually DEMANDED by a powerful police union in France. It has been asking for this for years on end BUT only Macron or rather his minister of interior (and internal security) wants to accord it to them.
