Lol. Igor, Turkey has been arming Ukraine much more than most countries in Western Europe. Turkey has still not recognised Crimea as russian and Erdogan said they will NEVER do it.

Turkey recently closed its airspace for all russian planes going to syria. There are several ships carrying russian and ukrainian stolen grains blocked and held in Turkey

@Rheumattica An effort ? In that case count the Ukrainian leader Viktor Yushchenko on the russian side BUT he was not a dictator. Boris Nemtsov too was not a dictator, he just was about contesting the russian presidency against Putin and he was taken down. There are also 350 russian journalists taken down by Putin since he came to power. You can find online their names, photos, the media houses that employed, the subjects they were working on, the way they were taken down by the kremlin etc...

@77thTrombone Turkey is NOT pro-russian in any way. Whatever it does with russia, it does it 100% for Turkey. Turkey shot down 2 russian jet fighters inside Turkey and russian pilots lost their lives in the acts. One jet was shot down directly by Turkey and the other via Turkish proxies in Syria. Since some 7 years now, Turkey has been and is still deep inside Syria and occupying chunks of that country allied to russia AGAINST russia will. Turkey fought and defeated russia in Lybia. Turkey geo-strategically defeated russia in the Caucasian region via the Azerbaijan - Armenian war. No. Russia and Turkey are not in any way or form allies. And Turkey is not in any way or form pro-russian. That's a purely unilateral russian wish and illusion. Oh, did I forget the public execution of russia's ambassador to Turkey in Ankara by a Turkish govt "former" security employee? The investigation has not progressed all these years because of Turkey. What people do not remember is that this happened a few days after russian airforce in Syria had bombed civilians in a pro-turkish sunnite territory and an 8 year old girl who survived the bombing was featured on Turkish TV with Erdogan.

@valp1621 Turkey is still supporting Ukraine against russia. And yesterday, Turkey said it would never leave northern Syria where it controls Syrian territories and this is against russia's will. Russia bowed to Turkish will. The BRICS and the Chinese created and led SCO are not formal alliance entities. Total enemies can be members. Even countries without any diplomatic relations or at war with each other can be members. They are like the G20. A place to banter and talk. No commitment to each other. No rules. No friendship. No common goals or ideologies.

Saudi Arabia can supply Turkey with all the oil it needs. Turkey does not need russia. That's why it can do anything against russia and nothing happens. Right now, russian planes cannot enter into turkish airspace to go to Syria. Banned. Erdogan is using russia as a dispensable leverage to get things from the people that count for Turkey; The West.
