I don't understand the hysteria of German media over this issue. When russia used it against Ukrainian and Syrian civilians the german media never paid any attention. Germany led my country France in preventing Ukraine from joining NATO in 2008 when Russia could not have stopped it. Now, they have to be pressured to help Ukraine to defend itself against the same russia the germans wanted to appease by preventing Ukraine to secure itself by joining NATO. Does Germany have any conscience? One German woman in the warm and safety of Washington d.c. said she was going to challenge the USA accepting Ukraine's request for this weapons. This is a country that initially was sending helmets to Ukraine when russia had invaded the country.
