@IsomerSoma Nobody outside of Germany cares about news and events about or from or in Germany. No French media carried this news. But if the USA defense minister or even the British one were to say the same exact words, it would cause a hysterical storm in the media and in ruling class and in population in France and for several days or weeks.

As usual we have not heard of this in France. If this had happened in the UK or especially the USA, it would have caused a HYSTERICAL uproar in France. I have always wondered about the near total absence of Germany and Germans and german events in the french media. I noticed this since some 25 years ago, it's always been this, and it has only gotten worse with time.

BTW, it's those German "quality" leaders that made sure Germany is a 3rd world country in terms of its own defense capability today. It's the same german leaders that made Germany so dependent on totalitarian Russia for 57% of its energy need against the warning of French and American leaders warning. It's the same German leaders that made sure Germany cannot defend itself even against Poland not even talking of Russia. It's the same German leaders that tried to change the borders of Germany and Poland in 1991 and had caved in after France said No way. It's the same German leaders that refused to let Ukraine and Georgia into NATO just to appease Putin when Russia could not have stopped it. 4 months later, Russia invaded Georgia and took big chunks of that country till today. Then later, attacked Ukraine and took Crimea. Then few years later invaded the entire Ukraine trying to take over the entire country. After the annexation of Crimea those German quality leaders continued supplying weapons to...Russia. Yes, Russia. And increased their purchase of oil and gas from russia. Schroeder a former quality German leader worked for years for Putin after leaving the post of german chancellor. And he has till date refused to condemn the war of Russia against Ukraine. Yes, what a bunch of quality former German leaders.

BTW, the German far right have 97 members in the German parliament. And recently some side members tried to stage a coup d'etat in Germany.
